Peter Rubin is a motion picture illustrator and designer with more than seventeen years of experience in movies and scores of commercials under his belt. His credits include Zack Snyder’s “Man of Steel,” Clint Eastwood’s “Hereafter,” Green Lantern, Terminator 3, Gangs of New York, Independence Day, and Stargate.
He was the first freelance feature film illustrator to make the switch to entirely digital media, attracting attention for pioneering workflow techniques still in use today. Later, he spent four and a half years as an art director at George Lucas’ Industrial Light and Magic, where he became a trusted resource for directors like Eastwood and Jonathan Mostow, among many others. He returned to freelance work in 2006, after a stint as a senior art director for Electronic Arts, the world’s largest video game publisher.
His work has been published in The New York Times, The Hollywood Reporter, Perspective, Millimeter Magazine, and The Painter Wow Book.
